ISO 3575 Deep Drawing Quality Galvanized Cold Rolled 03 Steel

What is Deep Drawing Quality 03 Steel? It is the material specification for hot dip galvanized deep drawing quality steels in the international standard ISO 3575. The deep drawing steel is more draw-able than 02 drawing galvanizing steel. This material grade is produced from CR3 steels defined in ISO 3574 standard.Chemical Composition: The chemical composition of Commercial steel 03 as defined in International Standard is defined as below:

Maximum percentage of Carbon (C) is 0.10 percent.

Maximum percentage of Manganese (Mn) is 0.45 percent.

Maximum percentage of Phosphorous (P) is 0.03 percent.

Maximum percentage of Sulphur (S) is 0.03 percent.

Remaining percentage is of iron (Fe) percentage and with few negligible impurities.

Mechanical Properties: ISO 3575 defines the minimum tensile strength for drawing quality 03 steels. The maximum yield strength is 260 N/mm2 and the maximum tensile strength is 410 N/mm2. The elongation is between 24 to 26 % based on the gauge length of the test piece.

Equivalent Material Grades: The Japanese standard defines SGCD2 which is comparably equivalent with ISO 03 steel. However DDS type A is the equivalent materials as defined in American standard.
